About

Hi there, I'm Mickey. 

I co-create strategies and cultures that guide organisations to better collaborate and make a positive impact. 

I work with people and teams to build meaningful relationships and strengthen capacity so that we can make a better future together.  

I'm focused on systemic change that makes our communities freer, fairer, more sustainable and creative. I believe the key is understanding and working with networks, narratives, and nature while centring Indigenous perspectives (Community, Culture, Country).

I acknowledge and respect the First Peoples of the lands, waters, and skies where I live and work. This is mainly on the lands of the Dharawal People. I acknowledge that sovereignty has never been ceded and that this always was and always will be the lands, waters, and skies of the First Peoples. I acknowledge and respect their ongoing connection to Country, community, and to the oldest living cultures in the world. I respect Elders past and present and I act respectfully considering the generations to come. 

I try to embody my respect by participating in communities, organisations, and projects that centre Indigenous ways of knowing, doing, and being.  I have worked with the NSW Reconciliation Council, National Centre of Indigenous Excellence, National Aboriginal Sporting Chance Academy, Arrilla, Recognise, and Atlantic Fellows for Social Equity. I pay the rent, currently 1% of our household income, to Original Power (a country-wide organisation focused on advocacy for First Peoples' self-determination).
